PAK Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) is a truck weighing software which is designed and developed in Pakistan. It can be integrated with any weighing equipment of truck weigh scales (also known as weighbridges). This system is designed to provide fast and accurate axle and gross weight information of any moving vehicle ranging from light vans to heaviest multi axle trucks. The transaction processing speed of this system makes it superior to other systems. It can calculate and store the vehicle record within a second after a vehicle passes its last axle from the weighbridge. It would help weigh station operators to eliminate long queues at busy weigh stations and ensure smooth and fast operations of weigh stations.
This software is specially designed for National Highway Authority (NHA) and National Highway & Motorway Police (NH&MP)) to support them for their smooth and fast operations at their weigh stations.
The system is capable to control operations of all weigh stations of NHA and other highway authorities across the Pakistan at the same time. It calculates and stores the weighing information and other required information of all processed vehicles in weigh station’s local database and transmits the same data to online centralized data center as well. The data stored at centralized data center can be accessed from anywhere by authorized officials of NHA, NH&MP and other stake holders.
This system can generate custom designed reports according to the requirements of NHA, NH&MP & Operator of the weigh stations. In addition to this, it is capable of searching record(s) depending upon custom designed requirements of above-mentioned stakeholders. This system can also help road design engineers of NHA to analyze heavy traffic data history collected from these weigh stations and change their road designs and maintenance plans accordingly to avoid road damages and accidents.
This software will enable NH&MP’s patrolling officers to check for fine history of doubtful trucks on the road and enable them to take required action accordingly. It will also enable NHA Officials to control operations of their all weigh stations and fine collection live with just a click. This system can also help security departments to trace stolen trucks.
The system is by default set for allowable load limits enforced by NHSO-2000 to categorize under load & over load vehicles. In addition to this it also has provision to define and apply any user defined allowable load limits for weigh enforcement at roads.
The system has different modes of access for users to limit the access to users according to their job description.
